Are there any motherboards out that support DDR 400 memory? I know that the SiS 648 chipset does run it, but on some reviews of some SIS 648 motherboards they could barely run DDR 400, and the VIA VPSD motherboards couldn't even run it at all. Are there any motherboards out right now that support it? Which are for the pentium 4?

no. DDR400 is a black sheep right now too. i've heard that official DDR400 support is being withdrawn from the KT400, and that SiS is not going to produce the 648 anymore.

$#@%!!!!! DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just spent $170 on Winbond PC3200 DDR damnit!!! I just cancelled my order for a MSI 648L-MAX mainboard. When the hell are these guys gonna make a better chipset and start making motherboards that support DDR400? the SIS 648 based refference boards ran DDR400 without a hitch, what is up with all this other crap! thanks for the info tho, I am mad at the chipset makers now....

Okay, I figured something out, to use DDR 400 on the MSI 648 Max mainboard all you need to do is update the bios, great! now I can buy it...again.:D

nForce2 will support DDR400....but that doesn't help P4 users out there.....If only NVIDIA secured a P4-liscense....

Just buy ddr400 validated for sis648 and it will work fine.

ya, I hear the SIS is ok. It might not be "OFFICAL" ddr400 spec, but as long as it's actually moving at 400mhz I don't see the big deal. Worst case scenario... you bought some FINE overclocking memory ;)
