Has anyone in europe picked this up yet? If so is it as good as EA were hyping it to be? Gameplay is said to rival PS2' winning 11 series?

They are all Copies of each other with just better graphics and with more stupid AI every time

Really boring game series

:barf: FIFA 2004 :bs:
Please EA do not release another FIFA CLONE game...It is almost worse from watching MTV

actually 2003 was quite good, its giving other games a run for their money at last..

In some aspects 2003 was leaps better over 2002 but, sometimes the much touted AI in 2003 would non existent like you defenders just wathcing the attackers have a straight run at goal and they would pick their nose untill too late. It seems fro, the demo, that has improved and the game is also random like in real life...ie not all passes work out.

dudes, I bough fifa 2004 today. 2 things, the AI is definates improved, graphics too although its a better than average console port, do not expect really exciting graphics. Even if fraps is reporting 60+ fps, the game seems to stutter? On the whole after 2 hours on it is that, EA seems to have polished fifa 2004 more towards winning 11 series on the ps2, it will not surpass that but definates its more improved.

However, the really BADthing is (depends one which you looks at it) is that you are allowed but 14 days free trial on MP, trhough EA/gamespy servers, after 14 days you have to PAY etc. Even Halo was free MP, never mind UT2k3 etc. But thats a gripe a major gripe.

I am not too familiar with FIFA, but if you are playing FIFA on EASO, then you have 14 days as a trial period and then you should have a PC Game Time Card in your box that gives you a code for a free year of play on EA Sports Online. I do not believe that EA uses Gamespy servers for any of their EASO games. I know for a fact that they don't for Tiger Woods 2004....

Im impressed.. this whole off the ball thing can be annoying though, it seems your team dont want to make runs for you unless you take control of them and do the running for yourself.

Chipped balls around the box and the whole passing system feels a hell of a lot better. just slightly annoyed at the fact that there is no way to attempt a tackle completley avoid the potential for a foul :/

Lovin the multiple divisions thing too :D

You know dude, This what the game time card says :

"The 1st 14 days of this fee is included with the purchase price of this package. After your 1st 14 days, u can use the code on this GameTime card to extend your free period for the length of the season, or you can provide a valid credit card number to buy more time. "

Thats confusing, does that mean I get free season after the 1st 14 days...and I have to pay after that or, after the 1sr 14 days I have to immedeatly pay. And how long does the season last?? Multiplayer season? Soccer season? or???

can u (or anyone) tranlaste for me?

Sorry about that, I only got 550 in Verbal section of GRE ;)

Yeah seems much improved although I would like maybe a erm...timer thing on how hard u go into a tackle ie like the shoot button, the longer u hold it the more force behind the shot u will have, similarly for tackling, the longer u hold it the harder the tackle?

Of the ball, sometimes my players make a run...it seems but i am usually a ball hogger and notice not much ahead! heheheh ;)

1. Your first 14 days are free. The PC Game Time Card code extends that free time an additional year beyond the 14 days. After a year and 14 days you can opt to pay for more time on EASO, but there is NO subscription info on pay for play and I do believe that FIFA 2005 will likely be released before your 2004 EASO free time is expired.

2. Sorry you are confused. The PC Game Time Card states on the back:

EA reserves the right to terminate the EA Sports Online service after 90 days notice, or 30 days after the last day of the 2003-2004 sport season.

Hopefully that clears things up.

the BEST goals come from chipping the ball to your main striker and then volleying it before th ekeeper has chance to react :D

Sy mate, you have 9800pro, I have the 9700pro. How is the performance with FIFA 2004? It feels to me no matter what fraps is saying is 80+ fps (with 8X AF and 4X AA), I get performance like its stuttering..which seems strange to me. Do you also get the same or does it run smooth? All me other games games run smooth ie CoD, IL2-FB, Worms3D (ROCKS) etc
