I'm basically new here but I had a little bit of info I haven't seen on this forum regarding FFXI.
It seems you get gray textures and other graphical nonsense with the new 5x Detonators. However, you can (usually) fix this by disabling Bump Mapping in the config. I use the drivers and have everything else running perfectly with these off, and I don't recommend using the older drivers just for Bump Mapping. I see no difference with it on or off, but the framerate is a lot better on the 5x with them off than the older drivers I've tried.
