[Corporal Dan]

I used to live on a street named Pelletier.
Anyway,
I saw the corporal dan movies a few years back. I loved them.
So, i decided to adopt the name of my favorite superhero
mcortz_2000

Well my name is Matthew Courtney so mcortz is sort of a short version. The _2000 part comes from my email address which is mcortz_2000@yahoo.co.uk even though i don't live in the UK.
As for the X-Rhodesian well that is where i was born Bulawayo, Zimbabwee. And Zimbabwee used to be called Rhodesia.
Well Smokey isnt anything special, but it accually came to me when i was playing Q3 and I needed a name. I was looking at the smoke trail on the granade launcher, think how nice it looked on my TNT1 16mb :D and smoke from that became smokey. Nothing great but it works.
Starscream

Starcream - my favorite transformers character.
nin_fragile14
09-20-02, 07:31 PM
nin as in nine inch nails. The fragile is the name of its last album, and 14 is the "halo" number it was--the number of CD released it had up to that point. So clever, I know.
What's this??? another chance to pimp my site!?!?!??! nah I'm not gonna do that to you (but you can go to http://welcome.to/serathsrealm) to find the explanation for my nik...)
HOWEVER let me simplify it by saying that "Serath" is the eternal name given to my inner self in an age long past by the greater powers that be.

First created after the Lord of the Rings movie was comming out. For those who hadn't read some of Tolkein's background story, Feanor comes from the Silmarilion. He's Finwe's first son, and as I remember, the name in the language Tokein created for the Noldor would translate as spirit of fire. Finwe is the beginnings of the Noldor or at least the royal family there of been awhile since I read this (the high elves that came to Middle Earth). This all was part of the back story that set the stage for The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
saturnotaku

"saturn" - I am the proud owner of a medium red 2000 Saturn SL2 and hope to be an owner of said brand of vehicles for as long as I'm able to drive
"otaku" - See by my avatar and obsessive fanboy shrine (http://jessieshrine.rubberslug.com/) and do the math.
:D
ummm its my name and last initial :) Don't see the point in making up some silly name anymore.
Kinetic Intelligent Lifeform Engineered for Repair.
Kryogenically Intelectual LASER Emissioned for Reform
I'm sure it stands for a billion things :D
Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation ( sorry had to get off topic here :D )
I have two that I use since the one I use here is hard to get at a lot of places.
exar is in reference to Exar Kun from the Star Wars comics. He had a dual lightsaber long before Darth Maul, by about 4000 years. Even back in '95-96 when I was starting to use the internet a lot, exar was a hard nick to get due to all the SW freaks out there.
And the other one I use is vargbedt, as you can see from my email address and Yahoo! Messanger. In the summer of '98, a bunch of my friends started to use AOLIM. And in trying to get a nick without a number in it (to defy everything I hate about AOL), I tried everything. After being shot down from having any nick from the periodic table (who wouldn't want to be known Yttrium???), I got out my dictionary and flipped to the obsure famous people of history section. After trying different nicks for over an hour, I got mad, hit the keyboard, 8 letters were typed, it wasn't a nick that was taken, and I've been using it ever since.

Yeah, I agree with that. My name's the same way, but I go by Requiem in most online games. if Requiem is taken, then I'm LuxAeterna.
Oh, I thought we were only mentioning our NVnews nicks. On some sights I also use Son_Goku. Look at my avatar, no more explenation should be needed :D Actually one of my my email addresses (which I'm not openly giving out to everyone so as to avoid being spammed like crazy on multiple email accounts in stereo) is also goku, somewhat shortened from how it's given in the Japanese original (not the dub) as the OS in use doesn't allow special chars in user names... Jumbling words together makes them unreadable...

Spectral
09-21-02, 02:28 AM
I used this name primarily for my music production.
I produce a lot of different styles of Drum and Bass/Jungle and so I figured Id pick Spectral... considering I produce the whole Spectrum of Percussion based tunes.
Nothing special, but I like it... you can check out my tunes at www.mp3.com/DJSpectral
:)

Taken for a John Varley short story called "The Pusher". I just "spanish-ed" it a little, though.
