Anone here running lord of the rings "the one ring screensaver"?

I'm running it at 1024 res 32bit with 4xAA and 8xAF.

Here is 3 pics.
To me it looks like crap. Well compaired to my 9800Pro anway.
I'm trying to figure out if my card has a problem.

www.3planesoft.com is the url to download it. It's free and very cool.

Can someone post some pics on there system at this res?

The edges look like crap.

It seems like my 5800u looked better.

might just be a minor rendering issue with either the card or the ss or both...

I'm using FRAPS to get mine. Using the F10 key does not stop mine.
But I've been using the Preview button on the screensaver CP to start the saver for pics.

I know... My 9800Pro looked 10x times better to.

If I up the res to 1600x 1200 it looks a lot better.
Or use 4xS AA or 8x looks a lot better.

I'm wondering if it's my card. Thats why I want to see it on someone
elses FX.

What I do not get is UT2003 is my favorit game.
It looks wonderfull on this sucker. I fragged tonight
for about 3 hours.
All setting on Ultra High in D3D mode.
I think it's looks better than my 9800. It's also a lot smoother.
Gunmetal2 and AM3 looks wonderful.

Man and I thought I was critical of jagged edges :D

I really dont see really dont see bad aliasing myself on any of those pictures..

*edit* I tried it with AA and it still doesnt look that aliased to me heh.

Anyway Bkswaney, I never expected 4x to look super great on NVidia cards, Most of the time It's enough, Definately not the best tho.

Wow, that looks crappy. I hope most of that blurriness and jagginess is from compression artifacts.

Here's another one thats not compressed as much. I think you guys should see it w/o AA too,

Here's one without AA, I really think it may be a rendering issue. Rather than an AA issue, Because Aliasing doesnt seem to bad even w/o AA. But I have nothing to compare it too. and Not gonna uninstall my 5900 and put my 9500 Pro just to check out a screensaver :P

I'd say. It looked a lot better with my lowly R9000pro with 2xAA, if I remember right. (can't check, my Windows computer is broken currently). There seems to be an incompatibility between the screensaver and FX5900. Mebbe new Dets will help in future...

So yours looks like mine. Well, I'm glad it's not my card. I was worried about that. :)

I'd be thrilled if someone with another machine would take a screen of it. Now I'm curious what its supposed to look like

Judging from DVA pic, it appears to be more of a lighting thing...

I've been playing with AA on a lot of things.

It seems u can hardly tell even using riva tuner
it's even working with the FW 50's.

I can tell u flat it looked better using the 45 drivers.

From the pic it looks like even the radeon is having problems
with it now.

When I first download this SS when I had my 9700 it looked
sweet with the older cats.

I'm wondering if these newer drivers have messed it's lighting up.

It was smooth as glass. Well, it looked like a real ring. Nice and smooth
with AA and AF on.

I'm going to email the company and have them look at it. :)

1024x768x32 4xAA / 8xAF PNY 5900U using Det 52.16, compressed to make it fit in the 100k limit here (so I guess this might not be very helpful to you).

They look pretty darn close to me. I mean, Is it really that bothersome to you? The edges dont seem to bad to me. Even @ 4x AA.

You're welcome. :)

How fitting that you should bring up this screensaver. I had just started watching the Two Towers again about an hour ago. Actually, I should say listening to it since I'm just using wireless headphones to listen to the movie while browsing the web.
