Does anyone use those Intel integrated gfx at work or some similar place?

Just to ask as my department got three new p4's 2.4 ghz with this gfx wannabe...

As this is work and it is the end of 2003 I would expect all gfx chips to produce decent 2D.

However if I go anywhere above 1024*768 the screen is sooooo blurry....

It can do 1600*1200 to (the chipset) but at this resolution you are lucky if you can read text.

So is it just here or is Intel 2D really so horrible.

Btw there are quite a few old workstations around, and for what is worth

Matrox G200 is the best here... and it is quite good for me as I don't use anything above 1600*1200. And the image can be quite crisp. (but it's a 4 yr + old card)

Even Matrox G100 from which I am just writing is great @ 1280*1024 while 1600*1200 is too much for it.

But you get new PC's with decent hardware and than a killer image.

I just cannot belive that Intel produces such a crap 2D and it is meant to be for work?!?... does anyone have similar experience or is it just these crappy PC's that we have got ... btw monitors are 21" are quite capable producing very good image on G200 cards.

Intel was never good in creating graphic cards
