that is the question..:)

anyways, a local bestbuy is having a sale on some kingston hyper x 4000... $129 a stick, ($119 after rebate) im thinking of picking up 2 sticks, and setting my mem ratio to 1:1... mmmm.. sexi

question is.. should i go for it??!! im in a toss up, although leaning towards buying it:)

You probably won't be able to set your RAM timings nearly as aggressively with that RAM as you can with your present brand. I sometimes get the feeling that the stuff Worst Buy stocks might be items that just barely passed quality control at the factory.

The stuff you have is plenty good. I wouldn't spend the money.

HyperX is actually really good. The kind I have can run at the lowest timings (2-2-2-6-1T) at 400MHz. Look at the timings at that speed, then make a decision.

I would get it and replace your current memory, P4's don't care much for latency but they do raw speed with 245MHz FSB (Which you got done) and you will see a HUGE peormance increase!
