I have an FIC AN19e

Not sure what the maximum processor speed it can widthstand.... anyone have an idea?

You basically have all socket A processors at your disposal... but you would have to downclock XP's with the 400mhz fsb, unless of course you find teh right magic mix of components to do 200fsb on that mobo of yours...

... hey, I hit 189fsb on a kt266a... if that aint inspiration for ya I don't know what is!!! GIT OVERKLOKIN!!!! :D:D heh heh, j/k... :p

...and by the looks of it, there aree quite a few OC'ing options for that mobo... so, if you feel you can put up with this chipset in this new brave dual channel world, you still have some headroom and lifespan left with the AN19e...

It's a KT400 so max offical bus speed is 166(333)MHz, @ 200(400)MHz FSB his PCI is running at 40MHz/80MHz AGP.

Tell that to the poor hard drive's that lost their lives while running at that speeds *Sultes*

That's the only issue I've read about so far with nearly all of VIA's chipsets: they don't support the shiznit that is fixed AGP/PCI bus speeds.

Yeah itr does suck although i hear the K8 boards have a fixed PCI clock but it's AGP is still overclocked when FSB is uppered.

Thanks for all the pretty figures and tech talk, but it doesn't really answer my question, seeing as I know little about OC'ing, ect... :p

what is the max processor my board can handle?
(I once read it was something like only up to 2.1 Ghz)

Google is your friend.

Unfortunately in this case, looking at FIC's website shows no data on the AN19e. You'll have to consult the reviews listed by Google to find out more.

It should support anything but the 3200+.. so thats up to 3000+ (2.16ghz). If it doesnt support bartons (i dont see why not if you can get BIOS updates), then it will still support up to a t-bred 2700+ (2.16ghz again).

Yeap 3000+ (2.16GHz) 166/333MHz FSB, With it being a KT400 board it should support BArtons right out the box.
