Found this nifty little thing. (It's not really a Benchmark) SO I posted it here, But it gives useful insight on who Developers prefer for their software.

And Oddly enough, It's a futuremark tool for Microsoft.

Found here.

It's basically a program that looks at your hardware and determines if you meet/exceed system requirements.

... btw, that's what I really got for a score... :p:p

hmm, I wonder what it measures/uses? Is this a benchmark that FUD might actually be one of the measured attributes?

"FUD Test 2: 328 FutureMicrosoftMarks"

I also just love the mention of Multithreading as (the first listed) a head concern for ppl wanting a gaming pc (this is from a link on the applet to "learn more about high end gaming PC's" or whatever)... as if the grass just won't look green if you're not running an HT equipped P4...

and they should have tabs you can click on so you can see how you stack up against minimum AND recommended... NOT just minimum...

That tool should also recommend "using XP-Antispy software to strip down your operating system from useless resource hogging Microsoft(tm) spamware"

Although it's great if futuremark are working with microsoft. Including some benchmark like that in the next windows should be highly profitable (/me buys futuremark stocks).

only 5538% actually

oh well I do need a 9800 XT (only using 9800 Pro 128 MB right now) and an Athlon 64 ;)
better show this to my boss and explain that I need more finances

seems as if you can't get over 14400% though, even the kids stuff which is basically 2D only scores 14400 % on my rig

boss, boss, I need an Athlon 64. I have to get 14400 sillymarks in Barbiemark03!

Isn't working for me. It just says more info then takes me to the game's home page. I don't see a link where it says will it run on my computer.

Well, I doubt that. My friend bought BF1942 and tried running it at 800X600 with all details off, and it was still choppy. He tested his system at this Microsoft thing and his system was above the min requirements :p

The minimum system requirements listed on games are a joke and always have been.

Check your browser, betterdan. I was similarly confused at first (I run Opera primarily), then groaned and said "I bet those buttnuts broke it for everything but IE." Sure enough, Mozilla, Netscape, Opera... no go.

At least I use Avant Browser so I don't feel QUITE so dirty.
