FutureMark have now made the 340 patch for 3DMark03 available for download. The patch weighs in at 5.4Mb, and can be downloaded from FutureMark here (http://www.futuremark.com/download/?3dmark03patch340.shtml).
Are nVidia still cheating I hear you ask? Of course they are, did you ever expect any different?
Courtesy of Beyond3D (http://www.beyond3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8952) (The 333 patch was the release candidate for the final 340 patch):

Beat me, AGAIN!
Hanners with all due respect how exactly doers this prove Nvidia is cheating again?
OF course they are still cheating, why would they stop? They don't want to look second best. A lot of nv users still seem to be happy about their high scores, even if it is due to cheats.

The new patch disables all application detection of 3DMark03, and GeForceFX 5950 Ultra scores drop by 1,000 points. The rest writes itself I would say... ;)

An almost 900 point loss with the new patch compared to the unpatched version and you have to ask? (Not to mention it's mainly GT4? )

It's a fricking arms race isn't it? Nvidia keeps finding ways to cheat and benchmark coders have to keep pace to defeat them. This explains Valve's rant about many in the industry having to do extra work because of Nvidia... well this and having to code extra paths to get decent speed on Fx cards.

So what? I think Hanners missed one thing, ATI is cheated too! :D
Take a look at 9800 XT 3.8 driver GT1 benchmark with patch 330, it scored 209.7 but with patch 333 the score increased to 210.5. So that mean ATI cheated with GT1.
Where is patch 340 benchmarks scores?

Different companies, different hardware, different drivers......... big deal.
Belong on page 10 of "the Inquirer for technology".

Uhm...you're comparing a .8 point change for ATi to an 874 point loss for nVidia?
Yeah, right...

This patch should be a welcome to last week remark. I have no doubts, That a new driver, Will reimplement the cheats, and the merry go round will continue.
I dont believe futuremark has a chance of fighting off every nvidia driver release.

I think you missed an obvious tone of sarcasm.

What are you talking about? The big difference is between nVidia's pre and post patch scores, and that difference says that nVidia is still cheating.
I'd love to hear any other explanations...at least ones that make one tiny little iota of sense. ;)

If I'm reading this one right, I think FM is banking on nVidia putting out a new driver set soon that contains 'fixes' for the new 3dm2k3 patch...and I think it's a trap by FM for some payback at nVidia that nVidia is going to walk right into. :angel2:
It ain't the same atmosphere as last time FM & nVidia bumped heads, I don't think nVidia will fair as well in a direct head-to-head with 'em.
Futuremark reviewed and approved drivers (http://www.futuremark.com/community/drivers/?approved)

Actually. I am Still trying to get a 9600 Pro. For my second machine. But I'm still waiting to unload my 9500 Pro.
See. The 9600 Pro would be for my second system. Since I'm trying to get 2 machines up and ready to Play Everquest 2, And I figured owning both ATI & Nvidia will give me a chance to more objectively evaluate drivers/performance ect.
But Alas. I'm haven some financial problems atm. And my 9500 Pro doesnt work in my other system (Not enough power + it seems the r300 doesnt like Via Kt133 Chipsets. Tho I heard the rv350 is fine. So I cant wait.) So I need a 9600 card, Due to its low power consumption.

Yeah, but only with the 340 version of 3dm2k3 which the 52.16 set "mysteriously" lost almost 900 points off it's score with. ;)
I would be interested to see 5700U & 9600XT scores with this patch too.

They don't detect anything in build 340. So why is there a problem?
