Out Run 2 (http://www.gamespot.com/all/news/news_6083628.html) return to arcade by end of this month in Japan this time, it will soon available international.

Watch out for very stunning in game video clip at English site, my god I think Out Run 2 already eat NFS: Underground for lunch. :drooling:

Out Run 2 is running on Chihiro system board, I am damn impressed with the board to give Out Run 2 stunning real enviroment graphics, I went to find out Chilhiro full spec and I was shocked that Chilhiro (http://www.system16.com/sega/hrdw_chihiro.html) is based on Xbox hardware, it was modified to use Sega GD-Rom media.

Weee I cant wait for Out Run 2 to port to PC and enhanced graphics with NV3x and NV4x instructions. :nana:

Yeah... Right... Keep dreaming, dummy.

Sega stopped porting their console games to the PC, and I would go as far to say that there is NO CHANCE IS HELL that Out Run 2 will EVER be on the PC.

I wish Sega would port their X-Box games (Panzer Dragoon Orta, SegaGT, others). But they don't.

Well if Sega will not port it to the PC, then I think soon someone will post Out Run 2 arcade GD-ROM game image to internet and people will make Sega System Chihiro emulator to run Out Run 2. ;)

Also I found House of the Dead 3 already available on Xbox now, it was ported pretty quick in the same year, I doubt we will see the same thing with Out Run 2. Here is another quick way to play Xbox games on PC is to run Cxbx emulator already available but current beta does not running commerical games yet and the author is already made excellent progress on Xbox emulator development, it showed running Turok intro and Halo with textures corrupted. It probably will capable of running commerical games in a year time. :)

Ok athlon.. dude, calm

Yes sega have an arcade board based on the Xbox hardware, which they are developing games for. There will be no PC ports by a company in financial dire straights, they need to make money with their core consumers ASAP.

There are no saturn (stv-titan), model 1 (virtua fighter 1), model 2 (virtua fighter 2), or dreamcast (Niaomi) emulators that work brilliantly yet (there are some attempts at model 1 and model 2 that aren't that great, and the saturn emu's have some way to go).

Hoping for a Chihiro emu is more than a tad premature.

Well, ST-V emulation is making it's apparence in Mame. Satourne (http://www.satourne.consollection.com/) emulates Saturn/ST-V fairly well.

We will probably not see any Model 1 emulator for a long time. While Modeler (http://www.emuhype.com/index.phtml?s=modeler&ss=index) emulates most of the system, the TGP chips (the 3D graphics chips) are undocumented, and absolutely stone-walled.

Model 2 emulation has appeared, and is fairly robust is Nebula M1 Test (http://nebula.emulatronia.com).

Model 3 emulation is in the works (and looking good) by an annoymous author (http://unemulated.emuunlim.com/m3status/index.html).

Dreamcast is, meh, coming along ok. But Naomi is a long way off.

But, this is not to contradict you. Chihiro emulation won't happen for a long time. The X-Box emulator has been mostly fluff and no real substance. Basically, Sega arcade systems take forever to emulate. We will not see a working *arcade* rom and emulator for Out Run 2 for a long time, I imagine.

It would be a shorter wait to get the X-Box version.

Ok the model 3 emulator is SERIOUS news to me, how did i miss that?!

Everything else you pointed out i knew about. I consider emulators complete when they play ~80% like the original

2 player / 4 player racing games own in arcades.. plus you can be more abbitious and have huuuuuge adons that give you more than just ~10 buttons and a d-pad to interact with

Arcades died because of those damned 1.00 credit prices.

That, and they don't make fun, simplistic arcade games anymore.
