Anyone knows of a gui for setting the XF86Config file

maybe a good Idea to include in nvidia package some program to switch between twinview and no twinview , to be able to play games when you use twinview

now every time I want to play a game , I have to edit that damn config file
first changing to root and then changing twinview option to "0" and also changing my virtual desktop from 2050x768 to 1024x768.

maybe for people using tv out and stuff , this would also be interesting

this one seems to go the right way

You can run it as non root simply by changing the write permission of your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4.
All I would advise is that you make a backup copy first just in case.

Have you tried running yanc as SUID ?
chmod 4755 yanc
