People guessing about NV40 and R420 and they both not to far away from release but how about others like PowerVr Kyro 5+ with DX9 and Tile Defered Rendering ?
Edited to be more accurate

dude, KYRO chips are of the PowerVR Series 3 family. Series 3 is ancient. Series 3 / KYRO did not even have T&L like DX7 cards have.
the Series 4 was scrapped. they would have been DX7 or DX8 cores with 4 pixel pipelines plus on-board T&L unit or Vertex Shader. but like i said, Series 4 is gone, dead, cancelled.
Series 5 is what we are now waiting for, from the PowerVR camp. Series 5
chips/cards will almost certainly not use the Kyro name. they will be DX9 Pixel Shader & Vertex Shader 3.0 capable, provided Series 5 is not also cancelled like Series 4.

so any news on no name DX9 Series 5 with DX9 and Tile Defered Rendering , card from PowerVR ? :D
So wierd almoust no rumors at all :(
Well they just introduced the PVR MBX thingie, the only rumour about the DX9 part is that it exists. IMO they'll launch it alongside NV40/R420 or shortly after (probably middle of 2004).

Personally i'll be waiting S5 until I get a new GFX, R420 and S5 both are promising.

Do we actually know if PowerVR Series5 will really be a high end chip? Assuming it comes out in the same timeframe as NV40 and R420, will it be that class of chip for sure? Is PowerVR targeting the high end, or the "highish end."
