I am building a graphics workstation using an Athlon 64, what is the best option for the Heatsink and Fan if i want it to stay quiet? Do you think the one that comes in the retail box will be good enought?
Yeap the retail ones are good enough, HSF are rare for the A64's at the moment, also the retail fans run at only 3000rpm's so yes they are quiet :)

Thanks for that. I thought that might be the answer. I am looking forward to building the system. It should be quite quick. 1gig ddr pc3500 ram, Abit MB, Raptor 36 gig sata as main drive and 2 x Maxtor 160gig sata Dimondmax 9 in a raid 0 array for storage. The only down side is the graphics card being a Matrox Pahrella, not really a gaming car but then the computer will be used for Photoshop and this is the best card for that.
zalman makes a flower design heatsink for the 64... just about the quietest hsf you can buy
Forgot about that one http://www.zalman.co.kr/english/product/cnps7000cu.htm
