Anyone knows how to tweak the mipmap lod bias to negative numbers(really maximum quality)

As far as I know catalyst drivers mipmap detail can only be adjusted from 0(max. detali) to +3 (minimum detail), I've tried every tweaker an no one offers negative lod adjustment (which really dramatically improves image quality).

Many people don't give this much attention but belive me that it really makes a difference.

For sure there's a way to set lod to negative numbers (-3, -2, -1) as it's stated in a recent article found in nvnews, the question is how to do so???

Setting negative LOD increases texture aliasing which can't really be considered an improvement in image quality for the most part. ;)

Don't know how to set LOD myself, I'm afraid, but I'm sure somebody will be able to help you out.

Have you tried Rage3D Tweak?

LOD settings can increase IQ nicely.
There are so many factors that dictate IQ, LOD bias is one such setting that can either increase(sharpen the image) or decrease IQ(texture aliasing).

It is undersampling of the texture that causes the unpleasant effects of textural aliasing. Having filtering applied to the texture will decrease aliasing (not totally with current hardware).

When the resolution of the display device is not high enough to display the texture then you will exhibit texture aliasing as well.

Compressing pixels (perspective projection) also causes texture aliasing.

I just want to know how to enable negative lod on my radeon card

maybe I'll get texture corruption or maybe don't (I really think it depends on the game or application)

this seems to be the best keeped secret ever
