I am looking for some recommendations for a 19inch crt. I was originally looking at the viewsonic P95f but it is a little more expensive then others and I have read that text does not look great on it. I game some, watch dvd's and text is important. I like my 17inch viewsonic e70 but I am giving this to my sister so I need another one. Any opinions?
thanks

Well the G90F+ is probably your next best bet.. it's cheaper and uses shadow mask.. only problem for me is i can't seem to find them in any colour other than beige.

The Phillips 109B is also a nice shadow mask monitor, it's quite a bit cheaper than the P95F but a little bit more than the G90F, and doesn't support resolutions quite as high.. it also lists a much lower recommended res. so that's not a great thing either, unless you don't plan on using above 1280x1024...

Well, try get some reviews on both and see how they suit you.. i would prefer the G90F, because it's cheaper and seems to have better specs on paper..

I would first say, go with Iiyama if you can :)

If you are in a budget then I would reccoment the LG E900B.

How much does the average 19" CRT weigh? I have a Sony Trinitron flat CRT that's 17" an d weighs approx. 30-40 pounds.

Iiyama the Vision Master pro 454 is a little too much for my taste. Anybody have any other recommendations?

Yes I told you to look at the LG E900B ;)

I bought one for my brother inlaw and it has fantastic image quality, flat screen, just doesnt support refresh rates as high as the Iiyama VM Pro 454 or my 450.

My LG F700P 17" is great, so i can kinda agree with that... the only problem with the thing is it over brightness (i have to set it to 0) and its horrible moire problem:( its mainly only visible when selecting/highlighting images in IE and what not... also some colours make it fairly visible.. but for gaming i've never noticed it.

I have no idea if the 19" suffers from the same problems.. i really only bought this for its 1600x1200 ability which is rare on 17"ers.. it also goes well with my case, being grey/silver and all:p

I havent noticed that problem on the E900B at all. The only thing is that it does 1280*1024@85Hz and 1600*1200@75Hz, but image quaiity is really nice

I have the F900P and its a great monitor. Pure flatscreen and all that. Great IQ and good price also. Im just having the problem of finding out how you clean the damn things. It has anti static/anti glare stuff and you arnt supposed to touch it with glass cleaner etc.

LG F900P GREAT! :)
