Hi guys,

I'm at my wits end here. I have a Prolink GeforceFX 5900 (non-ultra) 128mb. When I use the 44.03 and 45.23 drivers I get random crashes in both D3D and OpenGL (Unreal 2/UT2k3 and Quake3). However, when I switch to the 52.16 or 53.03 drivers I get incredibly slow and choppy rendering, visual tearing, and the card goes up to running around 70C!!! What the hell is going on here???? Why does NVidia make no drivers that friggin work??? Can somebody please help me, I really am out of ideas. If not, I'm switching to ATI for good.

AthlonXP 2600+
Epox 8rda+
GeforceFX 5900 128mb
768mb DDR PC2100
WinXP Pro

best bet:

reload nvidia chipset drivers
reload DX9.0B
re-do gfx drivers (use a wipe utility)

nvidia does make good drivers.. your hardware's guffed up, or the software supporting it is wrongly configured....

Yeah, I am the "forceware is buring up my card" guy. Were do I get a wip utility? And ur saying to uninstall Nforce and Forceware drivers. Then reinstall forceware, then instyall DX 9.0B again, then install Forceware 53.03 drivers again??

yup, basically...

I'm no expert on the wipe utility... drivercleaner or something... I've never had to use it with my 8RDA+... but it might help in purging the evil from your PC...

What kind of power supply you got?

My Power supply is a 500W power supply certified for AMD AthlonXP's. Where do I get an NVidia driver wipe utility though???
