if you want to download a program (free to try for 30 days, then 19.95 to register) that will tell you or keep track of exactly how much your download/upload amounts per day/week/month are try this program called "DUMETER"...set up all your options first and it will have to run(unless you disable it,which will not give your true total amount per week/month if disabled) will have to run all the time your computer is on, even when gaming to get the true amount of bandwith you use.
i have been reading that since some comcast users have got the doubled speeds from their isp(comcast), that some are being warned not to go over 60gb per month or they will get 1st warning and then possibly suspended from using comcast because they used too much bandwith(more than 60gb/month)
i havent heard anything or been warned by my comcast provider but i dont want to find out the hard way either. if this is true for my area we should have got a notice about it in postal mail/email...which i have not got. maybe it is just for other area's other than boston, but im gonna test this program out for a week or so and see how much i am actually using per week. i set my alert for if i go over 15gb in a week. 15gb x 4 weeks=60gb in a month. if anyone else wants to just try this out here is the download link: http://www.dumeter.com/

What if you've got 4 'puters all hooked up and using the same connection? Do you have to run it on each? I got 2 98se and 2 XP rigs too, would that make it harder?

(Besides, why not just use the stats from either a netware utility or just use a router log? ;) )
