"...I'll call him Mini-Me! (http://www.planetnv3d.com/nvnews/shuttle2.jpg)" :afro2:

Now if I could only fit this blasted 5950U in there, heh.

Any experienced modders got any suggestions?

Hehe, I actually picked up a 5700 last night just to test it out but, in the long term I'm probably gonna take it back and grab a 5900 since the can be found for the same price.

Anyways this is the Shuttle SN45G w/ the nForce2 Ultra 400 chipset. So it has the MCP-T w/ Realtek ALC650 six channel audio and dual optical outputs. Sounds just as good as the soundstorm on my NF7-s 2.0 mb.

I'm absolutely amazed at how there is no sacrifice in power in this little box. The smart fan that cools the case & cpu heatpipes is also impressive. The fan automatically adjust speed based upon the temp in the case and even at its highest speed, it could still barely be heard.

Is that power supply enough for a 8900xt or nvidia product?

I've seen both results, some have had no problems running them w/ a power hungry 9800XT or 5900 and others have, guess it just depends. I know in Shuttle's *special* additional case, they've stuck a 250W psu which should help out some. I'm trying to presuade my brother to give me back the 9800Pro I lended him to test it. We'll just have to see how the negotiations go, heh.

I am looking to build a new puter or get a shuttle in a month or two. I haven't decided. If I can put in a 8900xt with no problems I migh get the shuttle. I also don't want it to burn up.

Are there after market PSUs that will fit that micro form factor you could purchase?

Thx man, it was actually a Christmas present but you can find the sn45g on newegg (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=56-101-410&depa=1) for $254.99 I stuck a 2600+, OCZ 512 PC3200, Plextor 708a & 9800Pro in there.

Next month I plan on grabbing a 2500+ & another 512meg stick to complete the rig on the left.
