Just was watching the news, and I heard an iteresting bit: Every president above 50% approval at this time was re-elected. Bush currently stands at 62%.

He has already won. Bwhahahahahaha! Despair! Give up! There is no hope for you Dems! :D

This is interesting too... you have less than no hope. (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3835443/)

I think that fits much better.

It does. Perhaps if the lefties had all their ducks in a row they'd have a better shot. But it's gonna be the same tune from all those sad sacks for the next four years. I know my heart is breaking. :afro:

<cranky journalist mode>

I just read that MSNBC link, at the very top of the story it says that there is fighting between Dean and his rivals. Well, if he's fighting with rivals, there's more than one and therefore he's fighting among them.

Example: Between NVIDIA and ATI; among NVIDIA, ATI and XGI

So people with whom you disagree with are Hitlers or at least Nazis?
Remind me to invite you over for dinner.

Where the hell did you get that? I quoted Hitler, but that hardly means that the quote means I think people I disagree with are Nazis...

Why, if I were you, I'd use this opportunity to claim that all Conservatives are cry babies and paranoid about having their Nazi heritage brought out into the open. :p

What is this fascination with Hitler? Why do you feel the need to put me down by calling me a Nazi? I never called you a Nazi. Who are you to judge me?

Who are you to judge me? actually, you called yourself a Nazi. you said that ppl that disagree with S/L are Hitlers or Nazis. HE never said that. he never called you a Nazi. you put words into his mouth. quoting Hitler does not mean that one is a Nazi or affliated with any neo-Nazi org, etc.

2fast4u quoted Mao. does that mean that everyone who disagrees with him is a communist?

1. I don't exactly have a fascination with Hitler. I just think that some of the things he said in his life are surprisingly accurate. I'm willing to take what he said into mind.

2. I wasn't calling you a Nazi. If I were calling you a Nazi, it would be rather obvious to you. Perhaps I would say something along the lines of, "You're a Nazi, UDawg" - except more creatively, as that is my style.

3. I'm not judging you. In fact, my first post had nothing to do with you specifically.

I guess I'll have to dissect the quote's meaning...
"What good fortune for those in power that people do not think."

Essentially, Hitler is saying that people are stupid. Stupid enough, that those in power benefit from easily led masses. Which, I must add, is rather interesting when you consider his role in history.

How does this apply to you? It doesn't. You're not Hitler, are you? So... one must assume that I'm not quoting you or comparing you to Hitler.

Observation: Interesting that the well-known libs here quote Mao and Hitler in support of their arguments. ;)

BTW, we still have won. :D

His PR stunts may have given him some temporary popularity, but there's still 11 months until the election. There's a lot that could change in 11 months.

Yes a lot can change. Dean could have a total melt down. Dean will be badly beten up by his rivals. I am prediction the primary will be over in february. Dean will have it wrapped up by then. Us western states wont even need to vote for him.

Oh, yeah!! Alot could definately change! I'm allready seeing hints of a divorce between the realist Republicans and the current crop of Neo-Cons that currently have Bush at the end of their leash with the exception of Condy Rice. She appears to be the only Neo-Con in the bunch that's actually LOYAL to Bush while the rest see him as an Eminence Grise, if you catch my drift!

I wouldn't surprized if Wolfy runs and hides somewhere, Cheney bails on re-election as VP, Powell takes a step back to look at the forest from the safety of the trees, and Rummy flatout resigns. Wonder why I think this way? Look at the new thread I'll be posting shortly...:D

There will be a lot that wont return. This is normal for second term administration. It happened in the Clinton administration and the Reagan administration.

True? Not even it's totally wrong. All men think, and think of overthrowing those who oppress them, it's that they do not act.

So, the more awesome quote would be:

""What good fortune for those in power that people do not act on their thoughts."
