Heh, I know a few people that have been hooked in the chin by a fishing lure. Usually the best way to get it out is to push the barbed end through if it's still embedded and then take a pair of sharp pliers and snap the end off then run the other end back through and out.

Not pleasant, but it's better than yanking it out with the barb still attached! :D
