Don't even know if people use Media Center Edition regularly or if there is even a difference from the 53.03's but you can get them here (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxpmce_53.04).

Roumor has it that there is no control panel with these drivers.

To clear any misconceptions, the driver is 53.04 and the control panel is included.

Is there any reason to grab them over the 53.03?

I have them downloaded now I'm waiting for someone to give me a reason why I should use them.

I can throw these into the 'ol Recycle Bin. Attempted overclocking results in a BSOD during testing, something that never happened with previous drivers. And since I've flashed my 5900NU I've had to go with the 53.03s. No major issues to speak of with those drivers or the BIOS flash.

Image Sharpening is forced on by default, and when you turn it off it turns itself back on.

I think the 53.04's are more aimed at people with nforce boards as well as nvidia cards. Supposedly they integrate better. I have the 53.04 and as far as I can tell they perform like the 03's did, but then I don't have an nforce mobo.

I heard two things about this driver:

1. It is better for nForce2 integrated chipset
2. The release notes for this driver did mention some things bug fixes specifically for MCE so that's probably why NVIDIA released it.

as far as i have heard, nooone has been too impressed with the 56.xx drivers compared to the 53.03 and 53.04. i guess i am gonna stick with the 53.04

Everything I read said it was better and I know for a fact NVIDIA now has the bugs fixed Firingsquad reported with Splinter Cell and the image sharpening problem.
