I know I want a FX 5900XT, it sells for about 285$CAN, which is about 210$ US (stuff isn't cheap here) which is still 30$ less than an FX5700Ultra
and I want the 256bit bus.
Does any1 know for sure that the MSI is equipped with 2.8ns memory (700MHz)???
The core clock and mem clock aren't specified on MSI webpage.
This is to replace my MSI Ti4200 64MB.
I have the creative version of that card... and I love it...
I need to put ramsinks on it though, I'd like to maybe get 800 outta the memory...
But even without, it does ok, check the scores out in my sig...
It is a quality card, and isn' ttoo loud or too hot....
...well worth the $$, IMO...

Slightly OT, but shouldn't it be R. Daneel Olivaw? :eek2:

Nah, finally got rid of that "Humanoid Body ver. Titanium" and downgraded to the "Humanoid Body ver. SE", aka Real Human Body ver 3.0 (if you don't count Neanderthal).
Plus, I got bored of my base on the moon. Manipulating the whole human civilisation through telepathic thought got old. That plus the fact that I really wanted to play UT2K4 in a month. The Unreal Warfare engine is incompatible to the GeForce 8 Ti 8200 neural interface graphics card I had up there.
Seriously, it's also worth noting that my computers are named: Trantor (P4), Aurora (Tually), Solarion (P3), Terminus (P2), Star's End (P1).
I've been using that nick since The Borg Collective forums 5-6 years ago. Back then I was really in character! Now I'm kinda out of practice. I'd start babbling about how I'd met Elijah Baley and blahblah.
Thanks for noticing :)

Elijah Baley is still one of my personal heroes, I loved "The Naked Sun". :)

You should see a nice improvement over your TI4200.
Basically, here's an nVnews review on the card you're looking @ (the difference is the sticker on the hsf :p) ... comparing it to the 5600U, which in itself is a *slight* improvement over a ti4200...

In my book, the FX 5600U is no upgrade to a GeF4Ti4200. The FX5700 I tested wasn't even an upgrade, maybe the ultra would have been but man it isn't cheap.
I got a reply from MSI (they're fast) and their 5900xt is 400/700. woohoo
I might have waited before upgrading if I had had 128MB on my TI.
