Lol whats funny is it's cheaper then the P4 2.8GHz, then again i am sure thats to make up for when the prices drop when they come out.

Yeah Prescott is slower than Northwood and it cheaper than Northwood at the same clock speed is correct and fair price. :)

I still find it hard to belive that it would be slower then a current northwood even if it's latency is slightly increased. The extra L1 & L2 cache alone should make it rocket, granted not as fast as the P4EE but certenly faster then the northwood.

might have to wait for a newer mobo revision to see its power released...

recall the first canterwood based mobo's... subsequent ones improved performance quite a bit... heck my corecell alone improves my performance a heck of a lot...

I know the preview i saw a while abck said a BIOS update made a noticable improvment.
