Anyone using ramsinks on the Zalman Heatpipe with optional fan setup that can tell me what kind your using. Otherwise anyone have recommendations on affordable ramsinks that wil fit under the Zalman Cooler?

I'm not sure I would even take the factory 5950 setup off.
Does your card have ref nvidia cooler?
Man if so it's nice as is.

Here are the best and best price place to get them.

But I'm not sure they will fit under the zalman.
I'm not sure any will. Unless u custom cut reach sink.
16 of them.... I'm sure sure it's worth it. But then again..... ;)

Hmm.. Somehow, those graphs just don't look right. A 1 fps difference is shown as more than twice as large.

Ah.. I see, they didn't start the graphs at 0. They zoomed into the far right tip of it. :o

Bought two of these RAMsink packages and cut each of the 4 sinks in half. You need eight pieces to cover the memories on a 256M. At about 1/4 inch (3 mm) height, they can be used on the front and rear memories with a Zalman ZM80a/b/c.

A 5900 Ultra definitely needs the "optional" Zalman fan. My first engineering sample 5900U overheated to death in ~2 weeks, but with the fan, my second free 5900U has been working fine for the last 6 months.

thats a pretty good package, do those sinks come with thermal tape on them? and whats your temps and does the memory seem to get real hot? zalman says it's ok to use it with the 5950 so I guess it can be done.

Hi,

some ram sinks are to tall for for zalman heatpipe, before you permintly attach the pipe make sure all the sinks clear the tube, many people just shave the offending ramsink down though.

The ramsinks ricercar was showing from Comp USA are about as low profile as it gets...

I honestly don't think they're going to fit. I suppose that if the surface area is large enough, you could file them down as Glowstick mentioned. This can only hurt their effectiveness however.

I honestly don't think they're going to fit.Hmm. Then I guess then I'll have to remove my Zalman and file them down.

Maybe not much help but attached I have a pic of my 9800P with a Silencer gpu HSF using OCZ copper memory sinks (sinks are about 1/4" tall). Not a good pic but I think you can see that the sinks are not taller than the tallest cap and easily clear the gpu heatsink. I am not sure about the Zalman heatpipe routing, which could present a problem. I had a 9500P with the Zalman 80A but did not use any memory sinks with that card.
