Recently I added a "new" mobo to my lineup, an A7N8X Deluxe, ver. 1.02 (early, I know)...

I'm happy as a pig in poop now that I have 2 good nforce2 mobo's (the other is the 8RDA+ in my sig), but there's a few things I'd like to understand better berfore I go marching into amdforums' asus section like an idiot :p ...

The Silicon Image 3112 chip... that does SATA, but does it also do RAID?

Why the dual LAN? I'm no networking guru (I have a simple broadband connection, a netgear gateway/firewall with NAT and port forwarding and a netgear compact 5 port switch), but I don't understand what the need would be for dual LAN... heh, actually I kinda wish my 8RDA+ had it, as I have to use a nic card... I CAN'T get the onboard to work...

Is the 1.02 a flaky rev, or problematic?

3112 does SATA RAID. Same controller as my NF7-S 2.0.

Dual LAN is useful when you have an Ethernet network and a cable modem and are way too lazy to use a switch or something.
