Hi,

Do anybody have any idea of when the quadro version of the Go5700 will be used in laptops??? I guess this would be the last version of the Quadro Go.

I m planning to by a Dell M60 with the Quadro FX 700 Go version of the quadro
or a HP nw8000 with FireGL T2. I m working in real time game engine, and in VR as well, so I ll do a heavy use of the video card.
Which one do you think I should buy, is there any other than the M60 and nw8000 on the market?

Or Do you think I should wait for the next quadro go to be released?

Do you have any URLs I could check on the last laptop technology?

Thanks

Traditionally, NVIDIA laptop GPUs have used their non-ultra desktop counterparts, so you're probably looking at a Quadro based on the 5700 non-Ultra. Availability? We'll see if it even happens; while they did confirm my original theory and made a Quadro card based on the NV36, I have no idea whether there are any plans for a NV36-based laptop Quadro. Not a bad idea, though, considering its speed compared to the NV31. With regards to NV4x Quadros, those won't be out until June at the earliest, and probably July or August before retail availability is around.

I know EVEN LESS about the ATI workstation cards, if that's even possible.

Not sure about the ATI offerings, but I run a Quadro FX Go1000 (the Quadro version of the Fx Go5700) in my Precision M60.
The default (Dell) clocks are 295/570 & I use Dell driver version 53.82 as I need a WHQL driver.
Hope that helped.
