Yep, some stores have it already. Gamestop in NYC has it so if you live close to them, you might want to pick up a copy. Officially, the game should be on shelves Monday.
Comments, complaints are welcome :)

so whadda think? Epic sent me mine yesterday :)
Some of the maps are awesome. And the high res textrues..coool eh? However every now and then I get a lock up in which I have to reset the PC. The intro locks up at the same time. I tried the newest stuff (drivers dx8, ect and no luck). I have been enjoying playing around with the editor and some of the other tools. I have even started the next version of our mod :)
In all its pretty fun and lots of neat things to play around with.

Any chance of screenshots :)
How much better does the game look with Hi-res textures?

Crap,
locks up for me every time on the map DOM-SepukkuGorge when I go to get the lightning gun :( It does not do this on the GF4 system. Trying the 8500 now to see if it happens there.
BTW the intro rocks :)
Epic showed us what I thought was a much better one that even used some motion blurr. It was not for UT2k3 but it was using the same engine. I will see if I can get it for you...

Here ya go:

note there are some small ones of the vechical test map (640x480). Sorry UT2k3 crashed and I did not think to set the res back. Man its fun driving the buggy around. They even implmented real phyics on the thing as well as back up/break lights, buggy throws dirt/graval/laval when it accels or breaks, head lights :)

ALL YOUR UT2K3 RETAIL IS BELONG TO US!!
just picked up my copy at the local Software ETC/Gamestop here in Louisville. EB still says they won't have it until Wed, hah.
btw, did anyone ever figure out a fix for the pauses in framerate when you first entered a map? Its really starting to get annoying.

yea, I thought it was driver related but I switched to the 30.82's and it still happens....
btw, guys I found my copy on accident. Right as I was leaving the store, the guy asked me if there was anything I was trying to find, and when I mentioned I was waiting for UT2k3 he said the hang on cause he though they got some in the back and 'lil did I know, they did. Anyways so when you go scouting don't hesitate to ask, cause you may be able to snag a copy early ;)

where the hell are linux binaries that they promised??
There is only a installer like 17 megs or so. Shouldn't there be more files to it ?

no, because it uses the same art files and models and all that, stoopid ;)
I know, but those should be in bin format like on other games, unless they made it universal

TIP: HOW TO PLAY WITH NO CD
Backup your original UT2003.exe file located in the c:\UT2003\system dir then use the same excutable from the official demo. UT2k3 should load fine with no cd.
