I was reading an article on Hardwarezone a bit back, and he had an interview with Nvidia's chief scientist. Here is an excerpt from the article:

"He also shared with us details of the upcoming NV40 GPU. What we can say is, the specifications are looking swell and it is definitely one of the hardware to look out for in 2004. Upcoming games like Doom 3 and Half Life 2 should see greater frame rates and far more exciting gaming graphics. That's all we can tell you for now."

So this guy is the only one we know for sure that knows anything about the NV40!! Question is, can anybody pick this guys brain and get it out of him???

Here is the original article: http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles/view.php?id=964&cid=18&pg=4

David Kirk didn't talk anything substantial since the debut of NV30.

LOL...so basically the only conclusion is that it will run games faster and have more features... Tell us something we didn't know :p

Of course this only came about after scrapping the plans for the chip that ran slower and had less features.

Good plan too, sounds like nVidia has got their thinking caps on straight on this one.
