Hi,
My monitor goes to standby mode while my pc boots up. I can see windows xp logo, but after that it goes to standby mode and turns on with the welcome screen. My video card is Asus 9800XT ( drivers 4.10 )
Can some tell me why this happen ?

Thank you.

ATI is aware of the problem.
It's no big deal tho.
Should be fixed in a future driver release.

All recent ATI cards I've had will go blank for a second when Windows boots. I think it's more of a refresh rate issue because my monitor would only do it after I applied Refresh Force.

Since it doesn't go into standby mode permanently it shouldn't be a big deal.

From what i've been reading on Mac forums this happens on Apple machines also with 9800Pros.

Same problem, same card... well, not really a problem but it is somewhat annoying to see in action.
Everything works fine, so no probs but i hope ATi will fix this in next drv release. :D

Is it really a problem, though? I mean, it's not like you can do that much while your PC is still booting right? ;)

The problem on the Apple machines is actually the card doesn't display anything on boot or while in the OS. Yeah that's a problem. ;)
