Considering the 2.4C costs either more or the same as the 2.6C now, id say 2.6C. Although i guess if you are overclocking u might favour the 2.4c as the multiplyer is set to a more favourable value....

I was faced with a simular situation just before christmas, just get the 2.6c :)

Most likley want the 2.4C then, if you can still find it.

But id get nither and wait for the Prescott's to arrive in about a week.... the 2.8Ghz prescott is selling for the same prices as i paid for the 2.6C Northwood - It might perform like a dog compared to the same speed northwood but it should offer greater overclocking potential so a greater speed in general.

the prescotts are supposed to be under $200?

Well here on OcUK.co.uk its....

2.6 Northwood - £126
2.4 Northwood - £128

2.8 Northwood - £149
2.8 Prescott - £153

Those prices have changed though, last week they were a pretty much equal or less than the northwoods.... hmmm.

Oh btw look out for the SL6Z3 Stepping 2.4C, its the most saught after for overclocking. :)

Prices (according to Digit-Life) are suspected to change to that range in February, so I would wait till then to invest in a P4C to be honest. :)
