The server is getting hammered really hard, so don't be surprised if it goes really slow.

World of Warcraft Beta Test Signups
The online signup pages for the World of Warcraft Beta Test are now live! Anytime between now and 6:00 pm PST on Wednesday, February 4th, residents of Canada, Korea, and the US can submit their applications for a chance to help test one of the most anticipated massively multiplayer online role-playing games of 2004. Applicants in Korea should sign up at http://www.blizzard.co.kr.

Testers will NOT be selected on a first-come, first-served basis; all applicants will receive equal consideration regardless of when during the signup period their application was submitted. Take time when completing the online forms, and double-check that all the information is correct. We won’t be able to update your application after you submit it, and multiple entries from the same household will result in complete disqualification.

Please do not contact us regarding the status of your application. The beta test will occur in multiple phases; testers selected for the first phase will receive an email within the next several weeks. Those not selected for the first phase might still get in in a later phase. Be sure to check your email regularly during the beta test. For any additional beta-related concerns, please read the World of Warcraft Beta FAQ.

Applicants in Canada and the US should click the link below to read the registration information and proceed to the signup pages. To ensure an optimal experience, the beta test for Europe and other countries around the world will take place later this year.

The Site is getting hit hard so you may want to wait a bit (does not matter how fast you do it, its not first come first serve)

Yeah, It would be best to wait for a little bit. Just letting everybody know though.

I just signed up. I got half-way through before it threw an error saying that I had to use IE though (needs to install an ActiveX component).

Does anyone else find this amusing?

What I find amusing, is the fact that they aren't accepting any applications that use hotmail or yahoo accounts.

Yeah, I don't know why they are singling out hotmail and yahoo. I signed up with my mail.com account and I really don't see how that signficantly differs.

are they implying no free email accts? my friend was all upset about that hotmail thing and got an excite acct. but it sounds like they mean no free email, wouldn't make sense to say just those 2. Personally I'm not real interested in wow.

Fairly sure they mean NO free email accounts.

ISP email accounts only. (From what I've read in a few forums)

So you guys signing up with Mail.com or others, will PROBABLY get disqualified.

They only mean Hotmail and Yahoo. Here's a post from the blizzard forum from a employee.

In an effort to make everything as user friendly as possible, we’ve added an error message to anyone signing up with hotmail or yahoo email addresses.

Due to the fact that so many people signed up last night using those addresses, we have deleted all submissions in the database with those emails. If you signed up using a hotmail or yahoo email address, we are allowing you to resubmit for the remainder of the signup period.

Sorry for the confusion folks, it’s not our intent to trick people into disqualifying themselves. I hope this makes up for it.
