A REAL ALTERNATIVE for REAL PLAYER

Hey, I dont know about you guys, but Real Player and Real One annoys the hell out of me. I guess part of it is due to the fact that Real One is such a CPU hog and it also is annoying having so many different player associations etc. Also I remeber people complaining about Real Player (or maybe it was just me) so,

I think i already posted about this. There is also QuickTime alternative. Both work using Media Player Classic.

Both are excellent. Not having either one of these crap programs on my system and still being able to view their content makes me giddy with joy.

Been using these as well as mpc for months. Open source apps are the way of the future ;)

yep, happy Real Alternative user here for months! Works great. I was so sick and tired of using that RealOne garbage. And MPC is very simple to the point, much better than WMP 7, 8, or 9

I came here to look for an alternative to RealPlayer a couple nights ago. I should have replied about it but I missed it for some reason or another.

Thanks de><ta, this proggy is terrific. I really didn't want to install RealPlayer but could have sworn I saw the mention of an alternative here. Sure enough I found it and it works great! :thumbsup:

QuickTime Alternative 1.30 is out!!!

Real Alternative 1.20 is out!!!

Both include Media Player Classic 6.4.7.5 :angel:

Yeah the updates are quite neat.

Another program which I suggest is video lan player (www.videolan.org) . If you want a media player that plays all the odd formats such as xvid, svcd and loads more, try this out. It has video sharing capabilities and God knows what else.
