The reason I ask is I thought the looser you set the timming the more stable,I have ran CorsairPC3500C2 XMS256mb x 2 for nearly a year that I run at 2-2-2-5 so I decided to get aPC3500C2 XMS 512mb stick so I would have a Gig of ram and I thought I would have to set it looser to be stable but to my surprise the most stable setting is 2-2-2-6 for the three sticks of ram.
according to alot of ppl on nforcers2hq, tighter timings dont always pay off, according to how DDR works. They actually found that 2-2-2-11 gave more bandwidth than 2-2-2-6 or 2-2-2-5. This is only true at speeds well above 200Mhz FSB tho..
What do you use to test your RAM? Theres a great program called Memtest86
http://www.memtest86.com/
You can download an ISO to make a bootable CD.. (just use a re-writeable one) and it'll run the program from the CD to thoroughly test the ram. Takes about 15 minutes for a full run through.

I just run the regular benchmarks ,like sisoft sandra and 2001 and 2003 benchmarks and if it makes it though all them without crashing, then I don't have no problems with none of my games. But I did try the setting of 2-2-2-11 and 3DMark2001se crashed as soon as the first game test started.so I guess I will stay with 2-2-2-6.
11,2,2,2 gives me slighty better sandra and 3dmark scores compared to 6,2,2,2 @ 185fsb. Its a small difference mind you.... When benched in games like CoD my average fps was the same with both timmings.

Probably, I dont remember right.. I just run at 6 anyway.
