Well, Toms Fagware Guide says not untill '03. I've always thought he was full of it though. Others, however, are saying not until November. What do you guys think?

I think as close to Christmas as possible...first or second week of December in my book...
( Just in time for my Birthday...Dec.13th!!! ) :P

Keeping in mind that we are seeing another paper launch, this time coupled with a "paper" mainboard, you still have to be excited about what's in store for the enthusiast. We know it's coming, we just don't know when. Will retail CPUs be available in October, November, or even December? We certainly hope we see them for sale within 30 days, but I wouldn't bet my hard earned green on that. In all actuality, it will most likely be next year before you see the 2800+ in any kind of quantity. Yes, that is Q103.

if true, that is very disturbing. that means no Barton this year, which means Hammer is even farther away :mad:

Hmmmmm.... Not only pushing Barton back but won't this also have an effect on motherboards? I mean if the chips are out to take advantage of it, the motherboard manufacturers won't have a need to push the product through... :( :(
