I got up this morning and this was what I found...

And most of it had been in my kitchen. It really sucks.

Better than the additional two inches of white stuff we got yesterday. I would take bone-chilling cold over snow any day of the week.

It's been raining for two days solid here, and no sign of it stopping. Most of the villiage is under water and people's house are completely flooded.

Little old ladies bobbing around like corks, upside down sheep spinning in eddies, bears on giant pots of hunny etc etc. You get the picture ;)

And now the powers gone, and it's getting dark and cold. Sigh.

Thankfully I've got a couple of laptops here so as each one dies I can just use another. Hurrah!!

Heh, a friend of mine is a ski instructor for the army and he's currently in Norway. Last time he sms'd me they'd had 2 metres of snow and freezing fog for three weeks. Can't imagine they're getting alot of skiing done. But then again the marines tend to be nutters.

It will be cross country they are doing so it won't stop them going along:D

The worst part that I've seen is when they cut a hole in the ice and you have to jump into the freezing water.

Did you see that program on TV about that? The guy who jumped in the ice hole with all his kit on and then climbed out? Urgh! Strangely enough I was at school with him, he's called Matthew and now he's a sniper. Bagged himself a head shot in Iraq from some exceedingly long distance.

MAN! I don't want to hear you complain about rain. I live in western Washington State. You know nothing about rain. Our state bird is the slug. Our state flower is Moss.

I live in Wales. Capital of the highest rain fall in Britain, if you take a dump you'll be covered in moss before you get chance to wipe the chocolate starfish.

State bird? The slug? Ever seen the man from atlantis? Seriously, he must have been from Wales, you need friggin gills just to buy a loaf of bread.

But it has been really bad this time. There are people with nowhere to go sleeping on other peoples floors.

The rain sucks.

This would be Bound Brook, New Jersey in September of 1999 after Hurricane Floyd. My town is right next door, and was almost as bad.
