interesting bout the software issues (ie programmable keys) since its basically the same thing as the remote wonder...

perhaps a minor quirk..

would have loved to see some screenshots and TV work (record and so on) :D but nice overall job m8...

Thanks... :)

Well, I honestly have had a hard time fully understanding PVR software features and how to use them, so I felt a little reserved when it came to my info on the Ulead software... a friend was supposed to come over and go through the rigamaroll with me, but he never did... So I kept playing around, trying to understand mark in-mark-out, looking at other reviews of the product, looking at user feedback, so on and so forth. I feel that I could have had a much better developed understanding if I had someone who knows the stuff go through it with me... as all I've ever really wanted to do was record a tv show, then cut the commercials out... (oh, and I REALLY wish there was a better interface between the card and my DishNetwork setup... what, does everyone else have cable?? :p)

I've used the 5600PC for the same purpose as I used my 8500 AIW DV... to have tv on PC, and to record bits of it, and to take screen captures... My PVR know-how is in it's infancy... So I'm gonna continue learning on this card and hopefully if I ever need to do a writeup on PVR features, it will have more depth and content than what was released on the front page today...

hmm... I will try and give PVR a look/see and see if I can do anything with my current card.

I have done a basic review of my card and had it up with some gaming performance numbers and some shots off of cable (yes.. I use cable :D )

over the next few days I will try and see if I can understand pvr... perhaps we can help each other out :D

I was more interested in the image quality and record quality of the personal cinema personally since that is easier to compare... my AIW is worlds better than my old hauppage was though admittedly the old baby was about 5 yrs old and drivers were hard to come by for it...
