I'm in the market for a new graphics card. Looking to spend between $300 - $350. I've looked at cards from BFG, PNY, MSI, and Gainward. I want a 5900/5900 Ultra. The BFG 5900 Ultra is cheap compared to the PNY 5900 ultra prices I've seen. Is there some reason for this? What card in my price range would you recommend? Thanks for any help!

Although I haven't made had any purchases of those said brand names, I would if I had the choice to go with BFG. MaxPower (Clay) reviewed their GF FX 5900 U card and he found it tops. But the thing it BFG has 24/7 tech support and a lifetime garauntee!! Do others have that? I dun think so :D

The BFG cards are really nice and they are cheap everywhere right now. Why I don't know, but it is a good time to buy. Just make sure you trust where you buy it from. I got a BFG 5900nu from GameVE.com and I was one of the lucky ones. A lot of poeple on here bought the from them and got bad cards. Stick with newegg.com or another company. Read some of the reviews on pricewatch too.

BFG = teh best!

No stupid software bundles, just no-nonsense quality cards backed by the best warranty in the business. I recommend them over any other brand. End of story. :D

i think the general consensus you will get is BFG. They are about $170 now, and are pretty much the best cards around. I love mine, had it running about 6 months at 500/950 and no problems.

I got my bfg 5900nu for 200 bucks with shipping and at least for me, the upgrade from a ti4600 is worth every cent.

It has everything I wanted in a card.

OK, everyone so far thinks BFG is the way to go. A couple of people have mentioned that they are in the neighborhood of $200. This is a link I found today looking for a BFG 5900 Ultra. Why is this price $150 more than what people say it's going for? Where can I find one for around $200? Thanks to everyone for the help!

NU = Non Ultra

What you found is a full out Ultra is why the price is higher.
