Been using this AGP card with Linux over a year and have a few bugs to report with the various NVidia released drivers.

X Window System, XFree86 4.3, running KDE. When I switch to a console in run level 3 (hitting ctrl-alt-f1), the graphics are completely garbled and unreadable with the following driver versions:

5536 and 5328.

The only way to fix this is reboot :o(

Version 4496 works fine for console switching, but the KDE themes do not show transparency correctly (I can provide screenshots).

So far 4363 is the only one that's completely worked for both console switching and KDE theme transparency.

In all cases above, the drivers were installed correctly and the exact same XF86Config-4 file was used.

I've heard from some, the reason may be that when NVidia added support for newer chips like the GeforceFX, this probably broke functionality of the older chips, like my Quadro4. That's why none of the newer 5xxx series work correctly.

I'm happy to report that OpenGL games like GLQuake, Scorched3D, Armagetron, etc. seem to work will ALL drivers so far.

Oops, make that one driver version 5336, not 5536!

My mistake
