I have a NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200 from MSI with 128 MB RAM running on a ASU A7V333 Motherboard with an AMD Athlon XP 2100+XP chip, 512 total RAM.
I have tried several times to update to 53.03 following the "advise" on the board about proper installation (which fixed a "Device not accessible" issue) but for some reason when I go to restart I hit a blue screen for .1 seconds and then am thrown to restart with a safe mode option and end up removing the driver for the standard windows driver.
I have two questions:
1) Any idea on why this is happening?
2) Is it really neccessary to continue updating my VGA drivers when I am not having any issues and performance seems acceptable?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
