Well if R420 is not up to the job then dropping r400 because it was too good for the competition will be the most memorable decision of all time :)

well listening to their conference call a year ago and judging from their voice when they said that they had to change something in the roadmap concerning a certin product - i have to say it was not too much for NV40 but too much for TSMC :)
They couldn't manufacture it - that's the simple bottom line.

You could hear and smell it. The first thing i thought while listening was - well they won't say it but its R400. NV30 came to my mind after a few seconds.

I have a feel somebody either will leak more and more real details who didnt sign NDA or will dare to break the NDA by expose it in full 1 or 2 days before on 16 or 17 March. :D
