View Full Version : How could DC make Superman beat a SSJ4 ?
DC always comes with weird solutions to make Superman wins his battles, without increasing his powers at the end.
Following this idea, what tricks could DC use to make a story (at least remotely plausible) in which Superman fights against a Supersaiyiajin 4 and wins ? :confused:
umm...how about none?
Superman is a punk bitch.......you have all seen him struggle to lift some stuff (really thick reinforced metal doors, huge boulders, etc), plus that gh3y weakness against kryptonite.....pfft a ssj2 is more than enough for his pansy ass.
I mean c'mon a ssj1 has enough power to blow up a planet without much effort...all Pansyma...i mean superman has is his lame laser vision...not to mention he is slow as molasses...i doubt he can beat instant transmission.....
Superman would get his butt handed to him before he could strike that lame pose he uses to fly.

superman doesn't even fight quality opponents, all head does is fight lex luther and vigilanties. he can't even beat doomsday, a ssj4 would kill him

Superman would beat even the SSJ4. Mainly because he's much smarter than they are (at least from watching them :D). Brute force, power meters, and all that are great, but when you're as slow as those saiyiajins are mentally (it seems to take them forever, like at least 5 episodes, to get anywhere in their battles just for this reason alone), Superman's got an almost invincible ace. ;)
Superman smarter? i highly doubt it....i mean look at his disguise - a pair of glasses....

an ssj4 has never lost before..so i have no idea where to begin.
superman on the otherhand died by freakin doomsday.

Beh, like that's a sign of strength... Killing someone/something doesn't mean jack crap, except maybe that the reader/viewer needs a primal catharsis by any means necessary.

ehh, i'm sorry if that came off as a savage statement, i meant that since superman is such a nice guy, he would never kill gokou, and in turn he would never defeat him.

ehh dbz is nothing like pokemon. the original japanese made dbz is 10 years old now. when it came out it was a very mature type animation not intended for young children. that is what american and funimation did to it.

I have no idea about Superman...but I'm sure Wolverine would make things interesting...Though I'm not much of a comic-fan ( or animation fan for that matter ) I am impressed with the creative setup they gave Wolverine...The quick recovery, the adamantium skeleton ( sp? ), the bad attitude.....I love it!

I remember the ending from x-men vs streetfighters.... wolverine vs. akuma. Now akuma vs goku would be interesting.... akuma is pure evil and a true badass... like freeza.
Superman... what ppl still like that jerk who wears his underwear outside, get out. Even the fact that Jerry Seinfield thinks that superman is "cool" is not a good enough reason to put up with that baboon of a super hero.
Akuma, Super Cell, and skeleton from He-Man with his helium voice....:D
Seriously there is a severe under appreciation for villains... and ppl with a bad attitude like vegeta. Every one chooses the cuddle me type character instead of the true unsung hero.

God nothing is more GAY than dragon ball z. If you watch that show and your over 10 you should have your head examined. I have seen two episodes. All they do in grimace groan and shoot colored **** out of their hands. BTW at least superman uses tricks to beat his foes. All these guys do is grimace even harder (if thats possible) and shoot more power crap out of their hands.

Ditto...so many kick ass bad guys...yet everyone likes the goody two shoes.....
Actually there's a bit more in the original Japanese version, that umm FUNi took out, perhaps in part because they don't figure plot would sell on American television or something, and partly because they have issues with some things. I'm surprised they left the Old Ki in the episode they have on Cartoon Network, albeit in the original it was girlie magazines (aka pornography being refered to) and not swimsuite magazines.
The dub could have been worse, though it makes girls in swimsuites sound bad or something... Supreme Ki and Gohan's responce to Master Roshi's obsession with girlie magazines and Son Goku mentioning this to the old Ki, seemed to fit better then making a deal about something like Sports Illustrated: Swimsuite Edition or something... The other 2 Ki falling over when the Old Ki said that he didn't need magazines, because with his mystical powers he could see girls all the time, also fit more into that. I couldn't help but to laugh in almost disbelief during that whole episode (and the one to follow). Between that and the dance to waken the hidden powers... Throw in a hillariously funny looking fusion dance, and just what did Goku learn in Other World LOL
BTW, I don't think Superman would be able to beat an SSJ4 if it is more powerful then SSJ3 (and yes I know SSJ4 is a bit of a mis-nomer by TOI's own account, they just hadn't come up with something else to call it)... It however doesn't follow the same progression, hair no longer gold, doesn't continue to grow longer, and in Son Goku's case it took so much of his energy...
But the kind of energy being put out from SSJ3 was so great, the Supreme Ki and Gohan could feel it on a planet, they don't say exactly (one episode they do mention about the Ki's), but perhaps millions of lightyears away. They do mention in another quadrant of the universe though (which is where Supreme Ki came from when he fought Son Goku in other world tornament)...
Oh and as to Superman, how many of his villans could spontaniously regenerate after every attack like Majin Buu? That would be a nasty opponent...he could be entirely blown up and yet still regenerate... It isn't being dim-witted that makes it tougher to take down such a formidable aponent, which Goku wasn't even trying to do anyway. He was trying to buy time for Goten and Trunks, knowing his time on Earth was short and he wouldn't always be here to save the day. As he told Picalo, villans will always be here, he will not...
hold on are we talking about the new superman (the bullets bend around him) or the old classic superman, bullets bounce of him. ????
Still a supersayan monkey is more than enough for superman. Unless of course superman found out that he too was a sayan, from that planet which the sayans are from....:rolleyes: or superman was a haemorphradite version of goku... wow so this is where soapies come from...<shudder>
Yawn. I think the smartest hero would have to be batman, or dexter from dexter's labratory:D
Hell even pinky and the brain could take out superman with one of their ingenious plots. Superman is history. Does any one still talk or give a damn about Lex Luger or Bret the hitman hart???

Both red and violet are nasty. The blue polys are the best looking, period. :D
Green over here. Blue polys have a lot less depth in them than green polys.

Every time boo regenerates, he loses some energy. Remember that episode when Evil Boo is beating Fat Boo ? Fat boo was so weak after some time, that he couldn't even walk, and his regerating ability was dim...
