Only two new amd64 cpus this year will be released? Only two fx's? Only a few XP's geez what is going on. That is like nothing. I want something fast and I want it to be cheap :) that means they need to release a bunch and drive prices down.

there should be a couple more a64's for socket 754 released as well m8 :)

I just wish they would ramp their speeds up more :D I am ready for a athlon64 4000+ now! not Q1 2005! :(

It could still be Q4, all depends on the smoothness of the 90nm transition.

Hopefully Before q4 :D hehehe Nah I am allright with me 2800+@2.2ghz. I wanna real big jump when I do get a new CPU. ;) Like 4500+ hehhe :D

I am with Muya. I am going to upgrade in August, but I want it to be worthwhile. The chips I actually bought for my primary machine went 450-->800-->1600+ -->2600 (but now I traded for 2500 @3200 speed) I want another decent jump otherwise why bother you know...

hmm history, ok kast 10 yrs

486-->p133-->PII-233-->Celery400-->PIII850(i think)-->AMD1.2ghz-->AMD2100+-->AMD2800+

But this time round I want uber speed upgrade when I upgrade me CPU....like 4500+ lol won't happen I guess. I will settle for a athlon64 4000+
