They show the retail box and that is a great buy ,even if it had the slower memory like a plain 9800 it will still overclock good .Wish I got one that cheap instead of paying $400.

Even more worth it when you mount a VGA Silencer fan to it and are able to get 10 more MHz out of the core and 16 out of the memory over previous overclocking bests. :D

Indeed. It's probably because the VGA Silencer (unlike the stock ATI heatsink) doesn't blow hot air across the memory, thereby rendering my side case fan usable.

Really do wonder how much these prices are gonna last, Are the cards REALLY that much cheaper for Nvidia/ATI to produce at this point.

Also the prices of samsung memory has came down since the card was first released which makes it much cheaper to manufacture.
edit: Just checked the link and the prices are back up to $299. Im waiting for the NV40 non ultra anyways.

i hear that my friend. i just hope its not saddled with 128-bit memory.
The 128 bit memory should be on the XT/SE/LE version granted there is one.

How does Canadian currency compare to the dollar now?
I image both ATI and Nvidia have been making plenty of money off of us. These 'super low' prices are probably closer to what they should be.

Thats a damn fine deal, I'd be tempted myself:D
I love it when competition drives prices down to clear the stock before an impending launch of new cards based on new GPUs.
In Hong Kong, retail shops have a 5900XT for around $175 and 9800Pro at $205.
and i got my 9700Pro a lil over a year ago at $312 :(
/me slaps forehead.
