Currently in Sindh is protesting the illegal constructions of Greater Thal Canal & Kalabagh Dam that threaten the survival of the Sindhi nation, dependent on the river water that used to flow fully through the Sindh province. Despite oppositionby three of the four provinces (Sindh, Balochistan & N.W.F.P passed resolution in their provincial assamblies to withdraw these counstructions) in Pakistan, the esteblishment of Pakistan remains committed to the building the Greater Thal Canal and Kala Bagh Dam, both of which are, functionally, a true threat to the lives of Sindhis and the entire ecosystem & delta in Sindh.
Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz is most active in Sindh to oppose the illegal counstructions. Pakistan govt. is intentionly trying to ignore the voice of Sindhi nation. We appeal to human rights activists please raise voice for opressed peoples of Sindh & stop the construction of Greater Thal Canal & Kalabagh Dam.
The counstruction of the canal & the dam are only for irrigation purposes. The question is after the counstruction south area & delta will completely ruined. Punjab is intentionly trying to break all accords & agreements. Punjab wants to irrigate its Thal area which is reserved for retired army officials. Other side Sindh's all Kacha area will be in danger due to shortage of water. That is why all Sindhis are anti-counstructions.
Punjab were told that there was a water crisis due to natural factors. Our crops were totally destroyed. Other side Punjab had bumper crops. During the previous three years, no doubt, the people of Sindh have realized their rights and requirements of water.
These all dis-agreements are in the favor of Punjab. They are trying to capture all resources of Sindh in the name of Islam & Democracy.

Now the same action are in Pakistan army's mind, they are busy to threat Sindhis and saying that construction of Greater Thal Canal & Kalabagh Dam are necessary in "National Interest".
The question is what is National Interest ... three provinces are against these constructions, and only one province Punjab is agreed of construction. Is it a justice? is the National Interest to bent in the hands of Punjab?
