Mission Pack for SC1? What was that and where can I get it? I only got a few level downloads from Xbox Live, I didn't know the PC version had an entire mission pack availible (unless it was basically just the XBL levels in a single pack or something).

And yeah, Pandora Tomarrow sounds very cool. Download the trailers from Gametrailers.com, they look pretty impressive. Seems a little limiting that you'll only be able to play 4 players in multi-player (right?), but given the game type I really don't think many more would be managable. I mean, how could you have stealth gameplay when there's an active player around every corner?

The mission pack CD has the same extra downloadable levels for xbox i think , it just for the PC ver. & includes the latest patch (1.3) & also SC benchmark program , however that'll cost you a few bucks to enjoy it .

Did the original Splinter Cell have multiplayer? Sneaking around and hiding in multiplayer sounds like lots of fun to me.

Indeed ! i saw a preview for it on TV & it rocks!!
new moves for Fisher & graphics looks better , however the AA seems still dosent work .

they tested the game on 2 rigs , one with 9800 pro + P4:3ghz + 512DDR400 @1024x768x32 ... avarage framerate = 40 fps (in a simple textured scene with some dynamic lightings)

the other was 9600XT + P4:1800mhz + 256MB RAM .. avarage framerate = 25 fps !

thier 5700Ultra wasent ready that time to test it they say.

w00t:D I like games with nice graphics that remind me why I spend so much money on hardware:D

Hopefully it has some ragdoll physics.. I dunno, I'm just too spoiled on ragdoll physics, and now anything that doesnt have it looks really lame to me... One of the reasons I couldn't really get into Call of Duty belive it or not!

With your watercooled system i think the game should run with pretty decent framerate :)

AFAIK (& as i tested sometime ago) SC runs better on nVIDIA cards due to the heavy use of buffered shadows ... so i'm eager see how does it perform using FX 5950U :D

also thats may explain why the new drivers fixed the bugs on SC shadows rendering for 5700/5950 cards .
so i guess they are getting the new drivers to be "Pandora Tomorrow's Ready" ;)

Wow, they must've optimised the hell out of the Xbox version, that's like Halo quality performance (though this game is much prettier, heh). Oh well, I guess it should be expected that full real-time shadows are hardware intense. Should add a lot to the multiplayer game...in fact correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the first online multiplayer game with a full realistic shadowing system?

Oh, and CaptnKill, the original SC did NOT have multiplayer (which is why the multiplayer in Pandora Tomarrow is such a big deal ;) )

2nd map... am not very impressed so far and the ginormous font is not helping any... :(

clip @ 16x12 and details on high... seems to run pretty nice so thats a plus... but graphically it does seem to be a step back :(

Tried it. I like it.

Performance on a 9500pro at 800x600 was silky smooth on the first level, less smooth but smooth enough on second level. I blame that on my cpu (xp2000) rather than gfx card though, the dynamic lighting is rather prominent there, while thermal vision mode (which turns off all dynamic lighting) is silky smooth.

I think they may have lowered the texture quality for the demo, because as you know it was a SMALL demo download @118mb. The original splintercell demo was alot bigger, so I'm assuming they pulled a UT2K4 and lowered the quality.

What's this? The UT2004 demo was gfx handicapped??
