mmm.. im afraid that you will need skip this entire generation and wait for directx10 cards then ...something like R500 and NV50 .
to not feel "dissapointed" .because it has been said many times that the R420 is a 160 millions transistor part.. and support only for PS2.0.. the "old" Nv40 was 175million trans +PS3.0 ;)
so in features alone ,(if we take INQ info as a fact ),the NV40 looks to be much less dissapointing than the R420. :) its very early to declare "winners" or "losers" until we see benchmarks in the games that everyone is waiting ,and complete reviews with IQ comparisons of each card. ;)
