No, it's already stated in the B3D thread that it's from a "next-generation card" so it's not from 9800XT. Place your bets, folks. :p

I bet NV40 also as there has been a lot of speculation regarding improved AA on the next generation NVidia hardware.

All clues are pointing to nv40:

"The Baron" posted it (hope I don't get missunderstood by this...)(the screenshot was sent to him by mail), The screen is from a "TWIMTBP" "Painkiller", and the speculation about the new AA method.

But until he doesn't say the truth we don't know... I guess.

(Warning 56K users) :)

So, what card is it?

You'll be more impressed by the quality of the AA coupled with the speed it's rendering at, than just the card itself (which should be fairly obvious to everyone).

This is no 40% jump here, folks.

The NV40 is going to rock guys.
Face it... Nvidia is not doing the NV30 thing again.
The 420 is going to have it's hands full being #1 this round. ;)

Also the NV40 is a 16 pipe card. It has been all along.
The so called "New" NV40 was just BS. "Head Games"
Nvidia knew they had to have a beast to out due
the 12 pipe 420.

Those pics are QUITE amazing,

i have to agree that its a NV40 also because of

1) Nvidia is suddenly releaseing alot of hype about their 'next gen card' while they wont name it as nv40, the chances are it is
2) The release party for the unknown 'next gen card'
3) No new info about R420 accept from the INQ who i belive is makeing it up

Don't think it's NV40.
It would be a little too obvious to use PK and UT2004. :p

I just thought it'd be funny if it didn't turn out to be the card everyone thinks it is.
No unknown card lurking out there? :D

I knew it from the NV40. :D

I remember back a few months ago in Rage3D forum, 9800XT users had some fun with RivaTuner running with NV40 emulation. I think they tested it with Unreal 2 or something, it showed traces of jaggies on 9800XT at 4X AA but when NV40 emulation was enabled then grab the screenshot, the pic was very blurred but all the lines was straight perfect as sharper, here was absolutely 100% no traces of any jaggies.

My bet is on R420.

 I am sorry you losing your bet, I am afraid the bets are closed since yesterday. The 3 screenshots were confirmed came from NV40.
