SOFTLY SPOKEN words in the CeBIT Messe yield some of the most interesting things. A very senior official from one of Intel’s major chipset customers, confirmed to us that everything is roadmapped for Chipzilla to – once again - follow AMD’s lead, and introduce desktop, workstation and server processors that not only feature support for the iAMD instruction set but with AMD64 style integrated memory controllers.

Well well and there were some people who insistend that integrated memory controler was a very bad idea and ect ect intel is better then Amd , and now look at that pot is as dark as kettle :rofl :p

you don't need a license from AMD to develop an on-die memory controller...

very correct. With on-die mem controllers, those CPUs should be very competitive against the k8s and maybe the new reason for their new numbering system?

in that you are correct... however I still wanna see the final setup and subsequent information for each thing before saying it is definitely bad... heck the fx nomenculture is kinda dodgy too :)
