Eh, oh well, huh?

I would say it was only worth trying to save it because of the investment you made. The card itself it's worth going through hell to get it to work.

The person you bought it from, did he say the card was fully functional?

I agree it's a cool card, but my only option left was to steal one from Abit by lieing to get an RMA. I wasn't the original owner, had no receipt, and the card may well have been damaged by the rocket scientist shipping it to me in an envelope.

None of the above is Abit's fault or responsibility. I've moved on, have a 5800U arriving today or tomorrow.

He didn't say it wasn't, and then said "it must have been damaged in shipping". It is available and useless.
